Hospitality Foundations Class

Discover the heart of hospitality with the Hospitality Foundations Class is an immersive course normally running Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; however, it can be tailored to a 2, 3 or 5-day format with 15 hours of engaging instruction. Participants explore key topics like customer service excellence, service vs. hospitality, where does hospitality start, origin and introduction to hospitality, storytelling, conflict resolution, and operational performance, while gaining insights into the history of hospitality through discussions, group activities and hands-on role-playing exercises.

Designed for aspiring professionals and seasoned team members alike, the curriculum emphasizes becoming an ambassador for hospitality, mastering body language, and applying the five P’s—Product, People, Place, Price, and Professional. With a focus on building effective workspaces and delivering memorable guest experiences, this class is a powerful foundation for anyone looking to thrive in the hospitality industry.

Hospitality Operations Class

In-Person | CIA San Antonio Campus
Once a Week for 8 Weeks (Full Day) | 64 Hours | $3,995 per Person| 20 Spots Available

Take the next step in your hospitality journey with our second level class, designed for individuals preparing to step into leadership roles or deepen their understanding of restaurant operations. This course blends practical training, strategic insight, and real-world application.

Classes cover a wide range of essential topics, including food safety, OSHA standards, HR practices, compliance, leadership styles, laws and ethics, conflict resolution, and full-restaurant operational systems. As part of the curriculum, students explore the acclaimed book Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara, using it as a framework to inspire service excellence and leadership mindset. Students also benefit from guest speakers from the hospitality industry—including professional trainers, finance and accounting experts, chefs, and nutritionists—who share real-life experiences and insights alongside our professional educators. The program features group discussions, and interactive role-play exercises to reinforce learning and build confidence in real-world scenarios.

Emerging Leaders Workshop

Step into leadership with confidence through the Emerging Leaders Class, a transformative 5-day, 30-hour program. Designed for rising professionals, this course equips emerging supervisors, managers, and team leads with the tools, mindset, and strategies needed to lead effectively in today’s hospitality environment.

The curriculum includes a focused module on Elevate and Lead, along with essential topics such as Leadership & Culture, Accountability Workshop, DISC personality profiling, Finance for Non-Finance Professionals, Crucial Conversations, Working Genius, and Manage Your Gaps. General Managers Training Program

Once a Week for 8 Weeks (1/2 day) | 32 Hours | $2,195 per Person | 20 Spots Available

Elevate your leadership potential with this higher-level class, an intensive 8-week course designed for current and aspiring general managers. This program equips participants with the essential skills to lead, manage, and grow hospitality operations with confidence and clarity.

The curriculum delivers actionable insights across multiple business functions, including SMART goal setting, culture development, communication using the Pyramid Principal method, prioritizing key performance indicators, human capital management, compliance and associate relations, marketing and social media strategy, hospitality leadership styles, and financial management focused on food service operations. As part of the course, students explore the acclaimed book Setting the Table by Danny Meyer, using it as a text to inspire values-driven leadership and a culture of hospitality excellence.
