To enter the competition for a chance to win a 3-day educational tour of Modena, Italy, you must create a unique video that incorporates Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI.

ABOUT THIS BALSAMIC VINEGAR OF MODENA:

The CIA has the privilege of partnering with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, an authentic, exclusive product from Italy.
The “Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP” has launched the campaign “Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original” co-financed by the EU, to promote the added value of the product in terms of authenticity, safety, traceability, and labeling, guaranteed by the European trademark protection and to enhance the competitiveness of Union agrifood products in the United States. www.originalbalsamicvinegar.eu.

ELIGIBILITY:
The competition is open to all current Culinary, and Pastry & Baking Arts students enrolled at the Hyde Park, NY campus who are 18 years of age or older, have a passport valid for at least 3 months after the planned return to the United States and do not require a visa to travel to Italy. In the event that you will miss class to attend the competition or the trip to Modena, Italy, it is your responsibility to make arrangements with your instructors to make-up missed assignments.

HOW TO ENTER:
 Utilizing your cellphone, film a 60-second video describing your concept utilizing Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Please email the entry form and video submission to David.Kamen@culinary.edu Videos should be submitted via your student OneDrive account. Entries are due by midnight on June 11, 2021.
 Entries will be reviewed by a team of CIA and Balsamic Vinegar or Modena representatives to select the finalists, who will select he winners.
 Finalist will be contacted no later than June 25, 2021

PRIZES
The first, second, and third prize winners will be provided an educational trip to Italy.
Potential travel dates are November 24-28, 2021, if travel restrictions are lifted and its safe to travel to Europe.The winners will be held responsible for checking and complying with airline regulations, regarding COVID-19, before leaving the United States; and for checking and complying with the regulation in force in Italy upon their arrival.  A detailed itinerary to be provided. The trip includes: round trip air transportation (NYC to Milan), as well as ground transportation, hotel accommodations, and all meals in Italy. This trip will include a full educational agenda. Personal travel insurance is requested

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Any CIA student in good standing at the Hyde Park, NY campus can participate. Only one submission per student. The Educational Trip will be funded by the Project “Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original – Protected Geographical indication from Europe” and administered by the CIA.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Winners will be notified in person and may be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release. Each participant agrees that Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA has the right to decide all matters and disputes arising in this competition and that all decisions are final and binding. By acceptance of the prizes, each winner agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA, as well as each of their respective parent and affiliated companies, and each of their employees, representatives, contractors, advertisers from any and all liability, loss, damage, cost or claim related to any allegation regarding the acceptance or use of their prize. Any unclaimed prize will not be awarded. Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA reserve the right, at their sole discretion to cancel, modify or terminate the promotion. Video submissions must be deemed family friendly, in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Video must not violate trademark, copyright, privacy or any other rights of any other person. Videos may not contain expressions of hate, abuse, offensive images or conduct, obscenity or pornography or any material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable law or regulations. Video submissions must not include third party trademarks, logos, insignia, location signage, photographs, artwork, or sculptures and any music that isn’t originally written, performed and produced by the entrant. Video submissions should not include third parties, including but not limited to minors, celebrities and friends who have not expressly authorized entrants to display their image, likeness or voice in any submitted video or otherwise use such image, likeness or voice in accordance with these Official Rules.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena or the CIA resulting from any user’s participation in or attempt to participate in the promotion or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the promotion. Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these rules. Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user’s or any other person’s computer equipment resulting from participation in the promotion. By participating, each participant releases Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such entrant’s participation. By accepting a prize, prize winner agrees that Blancdenoir srl on behalf of the Consortium Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the CIA shall not be liable for any loss or injury resulting from such participation, acceptance or use of any prize, or any travel related thereto. By entering the competition the entrant consents to the use of his/her name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation. In the event of the noncompliance, alternate winners will be selected.
